Chroma Key Feedback
«Chroma Key Feedback» is based on mathematical and physical phenomena and attempts to visualize the virtual space between the current and previous frames of a camera recording. A combination of optical feedback and chroma-keying – combined with an abstraction level – creates an imagery dominated by fractal, geometric patterns.
In the next step, the recorded videos were projected onto a surface that expands into the third dimension according to the brightness of the current frame. The experiment goes through a total of three spatial phases: A virtual, intangible space (1st phase: space between the live recording and the already recorded) is visualized (2nd phase: video outcome) and then translated (3rd phase: translation of the video into the moving third dimension).
